Decibeles Privacy Policy
Updated October 15, 2026
Adapted from the Vimedev Decibeles legal pages (August 2026) to reflect the current app. Legal and Play Data safety review is still required before publication.
Your Navidrome connection
Decibeles connects to the Navidrome server you choose. Your server address and login credentials are stored on your device for connection and playback. Your server hosts your music, not this website. The app allows HTTP connections; use HTTPS on your server to protect data in transit.
Optional app account and backup
You can use Decibeles without creating an app account. If you choose to sign in, your email address and account details are used to provide that account. Eligible users can opt in to cloud backup of settings, favorites and the last-played track. Backup only sends data; automatic restore is not available. Your app account is separate from your Navidrome login.
Advertising and interaction statistics
The free Android app displays ads delivered by a third-party advertising partner. Signed-in users contribute like, dislike and play statistics by default and can turn this off in Settings. Some anonymous aggregate play counts may remain after an account is deleted. Regional advertising consent and store disclosures require review.
Downloads and security
Tracks and albums you download stay on your device. Server login details are kept in device-protected storage. Connections over HTTP are not encrypted; use HTTPS for your server when possible. Account and advertising providers may process data to provide their services.
Deletion and your choices
In the app, go to Settings > App account > Delete account to delete the optional app account and its associated online data. Your Navidrome account, music and on-device downloads are separate. If you cannot access the app, request deletion at [email protected] without sending a password. See the account deletion page for details.
Changes and contact
This notice may change as the app develops. To ask about data access, correction or deletion, email [email protected]. Retention periods and processor disclosures need a final review before launch.
Questions or account-deletion requests: [email protected]. Never email your password or Navidrome credentials.
